About me

I work with my clients in a collaborative way using tools acquired from the Humanistic therapeutic models of Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt and Person Centred counselling. These models share the idea that the client is the expert in their own life challenges. I also work using Egan’s Skilled Helper Model, Compassion Focussed and Solution Focussed Therapy.

It is my belief that every person has the ability to create a better, more authentic life for themselves and as a result the capacity to reach their full potential. Successful therapy depends primarily on the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. As a humanistic counsellor it is my aim to provide you with a safe and confidential environment where you can talk openly without fear of criticism or judgement about the issues that are important to you.

I have a wealth of experience working with people from all walks of life. I worked for over twenty years as a Nurse for the NHS and I believe I bring my own rich and varied life experience to my therapeutic practice. Due to my own life challenges I accessed therapy for the first time in my twenties. Therapy has played a huge part in my own journey towards self-acceptance and self-compassion.

I offer my clients short and long term General therapy for a wide variety of issues, behaviours and feelings.

You will not be able to solve anything outside until you own how the situation affects you inside.
